

Victor Varner, 100, of North Port, FL, passed away peacefully on November 1st, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Tekonsha, MI on June 16th, Victor lived a full and remarkable life marked by dedication, service, and love. He proudly served his country for three years during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.
After returning home, Victor began a long and fulfilling career with Clark Equipment Company, where he worked for 38 years before retiring. He was known by friends and colleagues alike for his strong work ethic, good humor, and integrity.
Victor married the love of his life, Patricia, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised five children — Larry, Garry, Mark, John, and Juli — who were the pride and joy of his life.
In his retirement, Victor enjoyed spending time on the golf course, a pastime he cherished and shared with his wife and children. His passion for the game of golf earned him multiple Club Championships and Husband/Wife Championships at Prestwick Country Club in Frankfort, IL, the community where he and Patricia built their home and raised their children.
Victor will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.
He is survived by his five children – Larry (Debbie), Garry (Maureen), Mark (Sherry), John (Erin) and Juli, five grandchildren – Kyle, Shane (Maddie), Jason, Jaclyn and Jakob, and all who were blessed to know him.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1PM. Reception to follow at Amvets Hall 7050 Chancellor Blvd, North Port, FL 34287. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite military organization.
