
Virginia was the youngest of five children born to Nicholas and Albertine O'Reilly in Cohoes, NY and was the last survivor.
Virginia attended St. Peter's Elementary School in Troy, NY. She graduated from CCHS in 1946, going on Comptomitor School. She went to work for Arrow Shirt in the accounting department.
She married Warren Martin on April 30, 1948 who survives her at home.
In 1952, they moved to Dutchess County where she worked as a Keypunch Operator for IBM, leaving in 1955 to join her husband in Lexington, MA on a temporary assignment, returning in 1957.
Virginia went to work for Duchess County in the Traffic Safety Board, and became assistant to Dot Schraut, commissioner of Personal.
She later went to the Spacenkill School District to serve as accountant and Treasurer retiring in 1989.
While living in Wappingers, she was very active in St. Mary's Church, teaching Special Needs Children and serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
She had two children, Dorothy Kleman (Mrs. John) and William Martin who died young. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Jennifer (Mrs. Hollon) Pilato and great grandchildren, Ryley and Cole Pilato and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
