Survived by her lovely twin daughters, Simone and Andrea and her brother Nehru (Uncle Bunny) and her sister Ena as well as countless other family and friends.
Eleima was born in Jamaica and moved to England for her nursing degree. A move to Canada followed to New Westminster BC before settling in Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.
She was a wonderful nurse and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in New Westminster. Her favorite time was when she worked with the babies in the nursery. She was also a fabulous mother, and wife. Aleima wore many hats, her nurses hat, her church hats, and so many fabulous fedoras. She did a lot fundraising with the IODE (International Order of the Daughters of Europe).
In the 70's she used to take the girls to the classic movie theaters in New Westminster - The Columbia and Paramount to see all the Disney movies. She loved to shop at Harrods in London. The Johnson's house at 808 Robinson street is where everyone used to meet and the parties were epic, especially Christmas!
Eleima loved to go to her church which was St. Stephens in Coquitlam.
She loved camping on Denman Island with family and friends, traveling - especially Europe (Germany where her best friend Erika lived) and also Alaska. She took an epic train trip to Lake Louise. She was also a great cook and one of her favourites was canning salmon, going down to the docks and picking out the best fish to take home and clean and can.
We would like to thank all the nurses, girls and staff at Cartier House.
We are so happy Mommy is over the rainbow bridge and has joined Dad and Granddad.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.firstmemorialportcoquitlam.com for the Johnson family.
