With a heavy heart we have to announce the death of our beloved older sister Alida Winifred Hookstra on Friday July 14, 2023. Alida died from heart failure and she left this earth in peace.
Alida was a loving, caring positive sister with a wicked sense of humor. She was gregarious and was never judgemental or critical. She was also known for her amazing cooking.
Alida had a career in social services where she put her beliefs in practice by helping people throughout her entire career.
She will be sorely missed by her sister Janet, brother David, and niece Jennica, as well as many, many long term friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Marion, father Ralph, and her younger brother George.
Memorial Service will be held at First Memorial Burkeview Chapel on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 starting at 1:00 pm.
