Daisy Phillips

Daisy Phillips of Vancouver BC, beloved mother to John Yaremy (Chris) and Roger Phillips (Sandra), passed away on July 01, 2025, in the loving care of nursing staff at Eagle Ridge Manor.

Daisy was born in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1930 to Colston and Jessie Rogers, moving to BC, Victoria and Vancouver shortly thereafter. Daisy worked in the Bakery Industry including, National Biscuit, 4X Bread, Mother Hubbard Bakery and McGavins Bread for over 40 years. Daisy was an independent, exuberant, and caring person involved in a variety of community sporting programs, and social /recreational clubs where she developed many lasting friendships over her life.

Daisy is predeceased by her first husband Mike Yaremy (John's father), second husband Bill Phillips (Roger's father), brothers and sisters Bob, Ethel, Nancy, Jackie, Ted, Reg and Norman. Daisy is survived by her two sons John (Chris) Roger (Sandra) and their loving families’ granddaughters Janine and Debrah, grandsons Michael, Jamie, Gordon and Stuart as well as seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews all of whom will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the heart and stroke foundation or charity of choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Daisy at Burkeview Memorial Services - 1320 Dominion Avenue in Port Coquitlam on Monday July 28th at 11:00am with a reception to follow the service.
