Frank leaves behind his loving wife Joanne; his children Christa, John (Sam) and Cheryl (Clint); his grandchildren Scarlett, Huck and Jack; his siblings Laurie (Bob), Claire (Derek), David (Lori) and Brian (Sam); and many other friends and family.
Frank spent the first year of his life in a bush tent on Vancouver Island which fostered his great love for the outdoors. His respect for nature and wildlife was profound, and he dedicated his life to ensuring others also had this same respect.
Frank was a skilled archer and fisherman. He loved to explore Toddagin Mountain, Spences Bridge and the Skagit River with his son John. He also had a deep love for Africa. He was captivated by the people and the wildlife.
Frank spent over 20 years with Coquitlam School District. He started as Capital Project Inspector and retired as Assistant Secretary Treasurer of Facilities and Planning. He loved the people he worked with and had many fond memories from the district.
Frank was a wise man. He was a great philosopher and loved to challenge conventional thinking. He strongly believed in learning and thus amassed an impressive collection of books. His integrity and honesty was admirable and he deeply loved his family.
We want to thank Dr. Wu, Dr. Eddy and the amazing nurses from the Tri-Cities palliative care - Hayley, Yolla, Madhu, and Harvinder. We would also like to thank Dr. Punnyamurthi for always caring.
A celebration of Frank's life will take place Friday July 21st, 2023 at South Bonson Community Centre - 10932 Barnston View Rd, Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 0B9.
