Klaus Heckel passed peacefully away on July 7, 2024 surrounded by his family. Klaus is survived by his loving wife, Edith; brother, Adolf; daughters Claudia, Veronica (Brent) and Jessica (Jason); and grandchildren Julia, Nick, Angie, Alex, Maddy, Rebecca and Anthony.
Klaus was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada as a young man. He soon met the love of his life on holiday in Acapulco, Mexico and proposed to Edith three days later. Married for 57 years, Klaus was a devoted family man, loving husband, cherished dad, grandpa and loyal friend. He loved playing his accordion and creating memories with family and friends. Kind and funny, with a love of music and travelling, Dad showed us all how to live a good life with the people you love.
“So when tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart, For every time you think of me,
I’m right here, in your heart” --David M. Romano
