30 mai 19241 juin 2021

ERNEWIN, LINA EDITH May 30, 1924-June 1, 2021 Lina Edith Ernewin was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on Tuesday June 1, 2021, at the age of 97, with her daughter by her side and the love of her family surrounding her. Lina is predeceased by her loving husband Phillip Ivan Ernewin. Lina will be lovingly remembered by her children; Scott (Ruth), Gail and Grant; grandchildren; Kelly (Paul) and Brooke (Jay); great-grandchildren Ashley, Ethan, Kelcie and Taylor. She will also be dearly missed by her numerous relatives and close friends (including those at Valhalla Court and the Swedish Assisted Living Residence). Lina lived and worked in East Vancouver for 83 years of her life. She was an active volunteer in the community, had a caring, cheerful, and humorous nature and appeared to know ’everyone’, as her children would tell you. Lina kept herself fit by attending fitness classes 3x per week in to her early 80’s, could be seen walking through the community to shop for groceries and was in a bowling league for many years. She also loved the performing arts and regularly attended musicals, the ballet, opera and VSO Pops performances with friends and family. She continued to make friends at Valhalla Court, where she lived for 14 years, and then Swedish Assisted Living Residence until 2021. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She lived her life to the fullest and was thankful for the fond memories of time spent with family and friends. Due to COVID the Celebration of Life will be a small gathering of close friends and family and will be held on September 25, 2021 at 10am, at First Memorial Funeral Services Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave., Port Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers please send donations to BC Diabetes.

I remember many Boxing days at Aunt Lina and Uncle Phil's house. The men would argue (debate) in the living room while the women would hang out in the kitchen while all the cousins played in the basement.
