Mary Elizabeth (Small) Jamieson, born October 7, 1926 to Marjorie (Murray) Small and Albert Merton Small, passed away on March 27, 2023 at the Hawthorne Seniors Care Home in Port Coquitlam, BC. She was 96 years old.
Mary grew up on a Saskatchewan farm with her siblings Lens, Marjorie, Murray, and Margaret (all predeceased) and Ruth (surviving), then lived for a time in California where she enjoyed working and made life-long friends. She later moved to Vancouver, BC where she married and raised her family.
Predeceased by her husband Herbert Wynne Jamieson, and her sons James Herbert and Murray Lloyd, she is survived by her son Robert Graham and her daughters Shelagh Maureen, Merilee Jean, and Rosemary Lynne, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom will live on in our cherished memories and we are grateful for her generosity and kindness during her long life. She loved her family above all else. She will be deeply, deeply missed.
She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Bryan and Christina who were very dear to her and made her a very happy great-grandma to Henry and Fiona, Lilianna and Ella. Mary always embraced and welcomed others who became part of our extended family over the years, including Laina, Charlotte, Katrina, and more.
She will be fondly remembered by her friends from the Kivan Boys Club, her CKNW Bowling teammates, and the wonderful ladies from the Frog Hoppers seniors group which she attended for many years and enjoyed so much.
