It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bob at home on October 17th 2014. He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Marion, sisters Judi and Dale (Willard), survived by his wife Tracy, children Lindsey (Josh) and Allan, sisters Marjorie (Don), Leslie (Don) and Brother Bruce (Anne), 6 nieces and nephew, in laws Joe, Jean and Jody (Steve). Bob will also be missed by his extended family and numerous friends he has made growing up in Ontario and after relocating to British Columbia. Bob touched many people’s lives and formed many friendships during his time at the Golden Ears Hotel and Phoenix Truck and Crane. Bob was also passionate about the Green Bay Packers, the Toronto Blue Jays, his Harley Davidson (affectionately known as Shelly) and his family. His love for baseball led to the start of his annual softball tournament, The Fall Campbell Classic, with all proceeds donated to the Empty Stocking Fund. Although Bob’s health had been declining over recent years, he maintained a positive outlook on life and could often be seen on his “bike” scooting around town. He will be forever remembered for his kindness, quick wit and generous nature. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his constant companions for the last 8 years, his “boys” Tiger and Zee Zee. A private family service has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.firstmemorialportcoquitlam.com In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Empty Stocking Fund or a charity of your choice.
