Bob was born October 31, 1936 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was raised in Vancouver. Bob was an outdoor man and spent his youth skiing in the mountains and spending time at local lakes, rivers and the ocean. Once he settled down and had a family Bob enjoyed boating at Pitt Lake and then graduated to boating on the ocean as his father had.
Bob was a successful businessman and an entrepreneur his whole life. He was forever an optimist. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be forever remembered in our hearts. He was an inspiration to all who met him and a best friend to his many grandchildren. His circle of friends was large and he held a special bond with his many "car buddies" who were by his side to the end.
Bob will be missed by his loving wife Doreen, their three children Donna-Marie, Julie and Roberta, his son-in-law's, Kim, Rob and Perry and his loving grandchildren Shanna (Jamie), Nikkey (Sean), Mike (Rachel), Hannah, Hayden, Nick, Brooklyn and Kevin, as well as his loving brothers, Jim and Larry and so many more family members and friends.
We hope you can join us as we celebrate the life of Bob Nichol on June 11th at 1:00 at Burkeview Chapel, where we will honour the best of Bob’s life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 101 Noons Creek Road, Port Moody B.C V3H 5J1
