Ron passed away suddenly in Coquitlam, BC on October 8, 2017, having just returned from a beautiful cruise. Ron is survived by his loving wife and best friend Barbara, 4 children: Pamela (Brent) Reidlinger; Lonny (Claude) Saltel; Corey (Perry) Ulmer; Darren (Vera) Cochran, two step-sons Edward (Debbie) Shapter, Mike (Kathleen) Shapter; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and one sister Gwen Hunt, and a number of nieces and nephews and friends. Ron retired from BC Tel in 1985 after 32 years, and spent his retirement traveling with Barbara. He was an avid reader and enjoyed many hobbies including wood carving and painting. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
