Stephen James Macrae

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Stephen James MacRae, aged 65, has passed away peacefully at home on Oct 16, 2016, from a hard fought battle with ALS. Lovingly remembered by his wife Dawn, children Stu (Kim), Trevor (Tlell) and Lisa (Scott), granddaughter Charlie, mother Iris, father in-law Pete, and brother John (Barbara).

Born in Bedford, England, Steve and Dawn emigrated to Canada in 1974. Steve was a hardworking electrician, respected by his peers. Known for his quick wit, Steve was above all a loving father and husband, always putting his family first.

Steve will be greatly missed and his family will always remember him through the music he loved, the memories we shared together and his priceless humour he passed down to us. We will continue to laugh and make fun of each other knowing he is laughing with us.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave, Port Coquitlam, on Saturday October 29th at 11am. Reception to follow at separate location.
