William Roy Ward

William Roy Ward (Bill), a long-time resident of Burke Mountain, Coquitlam, BC passed away peacefully at his home on November 6, 2023 at the age of 93. Bill was born on March 23, 1930 at Anderson Lake in D’Arcy BC. He was hard working man who had a long career as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was also a proud member of the IUOE Local 115 for over 70 years.

Bill was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Eleanor, in 2003, his parents Ernest and Ruth, his brother Robert and sister-in-law Bertha, and his brother-in-law John Machan.

Bill leaves behind his four children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He adored them all and was very proud of them and their accomplishments.

Jo Ann (Annette); Beverley Rioux (Brian), Erin (Nik) Lukas & Ellie, Brianne (Josh) Jordan; Glen (Jaynette), Ethan (Nastassja), Garrett (Shera-Lyn); Judy (Dane), Sarah, Jeff, Jessica (Stephen) Liam & Maxwell, Carly (Amy), Callum, Travis.

Bill is also survived by his sister Betty Machan of Souris, Manitoba, and his brother in-law Hjalmer Larson (Marlene) of Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

Between Dad and Mom the extended family was quite large. Family was important and many special memories were made over the years.
