Anna C. Wilkens

Anna (Anne) C. Wilkens entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 95 years of age. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to August and Emma (Stahlman) Glaser. Anne was predeceased by her parents, brother Donald Glaser, and husband Rowland Wilkens. She is survived by her children Katherine Leonard (Lawrence) and Steven Wilkens (Nancy), grandchildren Ryan Williams (Eryn), Jennifer Marvin (Chris), Stephanie Beard (Artie), Justine Cucuzzo (Vin), Cassandra Wilkens (Daquan), eleven great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, all of whom she loved deeply. Anne worked for many years at Lutheran Hospital of Brooklyn in many capacities. She retired as secretary to the director of nursing. She was always active in her church and in later years, became a volunteer for the CF Foundation. Anne will be remembered for her strength, dedication to family, faith, sense of humor and gift of hospitality. Her home was always a gathering place. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, August 6th at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 499 Plaza Drive, Vestal. The family wishes to thank Pastor Cheryl Ann Elfond, Dr. Frank Eder, Dr.Gregory Mullen, and the nursing staff at NT4 Wilson Hospital for their compassionate care of Anne.
