Also, she’s survived by her caring brothers, David (Dale) Martin in Seneca, SC, and Dennis Martin (Merri Markovitch) in Johnson City, NY; sister-in-law, LaDonn Martin in Cortland, NY; nieces and nephews, Susan Martin Nordberg (Martin) in VA, Timothy Martin (Tracy) in NY, Andrea Martin in FL, Jeffrey Martin in CO, Dana Martin (Amy) in FL, plus several beloved grand nieces, cousins, and extended family members in the Martin and Moser families. Special thanks to all of the caring, devoted caregivers who helped Barb and Vince over the past few years so they could be together in their home safely. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Ross Jr. (2001) and Lucille (2008) Martin; mother-in-law Jeanette Miceli; and brother, Ross Martin III (1987). Affectionately referred to as Nana by many, Sissy by her brother Dave, and the family “Matriarch” by her brother Dennis, Barb held her family close to her heart, always generous and sincere, remembering everyone’s birthday, anniversary, special accomplishments, holidays, and more with cards and gifts! A loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, she was loved by all who knew her and will be forever missed. Barb was born in Weatherly, PA, and graduated from Pottsville, PA high school. Shortly after graduation, her family moved to Binghamton, NY, and she met her future husband, Vince, at a local A&P grocery store where they both worked. An active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Binghamton, for over 60 years, she made many lifetime friends in her church family. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach (NJ and FL) and traveling to FL every spring to Fort Myers Beach. She loved music, especially big band/swing, and an avid supporter of live music everywhere she and Vince went, including front row seats at Scranton, PA’s La Festa Italiano every Labor Day weekend. She was proud of her hometown, Weatherly, PA and paternal grandmother’s family and always looked forward to the annual Smith family reunion each August, reconnecting with extended family. A funeral service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date (to be determined and announced), with burial in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. Donations in her memory may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 72 Main St., Binghamton, NY 13905. Share your memory of Barb Miceli online at dignitymemorial.com. Arrangements by Wm. R.
