Cathryn M. Brown

Cathryn M. Brown, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband David Brown, her twin sister Carol Smith and sister Jean Powell. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Donna & Kenneth Starr, Susan & David Hamlin and Elaine Patterson & Mark Harrison; grandchildren Kenny Starr, Matthew & Colleen Starr, Madison Hamlin, Tyler Hamlin, Zoe Patterson and Owen Harrison; foster son Bruce LaBore; sister & brother-in-law Allys & Bill Huff.

Cathryn retired from NYNEX after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Crane where she taught Sunday School and was also an Awana Club Teacher for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to garage sales and doing Tai Chi but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, 38 Canal Street, Port Crane, NY on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 10-11am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial will be in the Port Crane Cemetery.
