Tina’s family and friends might be forgiven for wondering if God intended to reveal his Holy Spirit with her life. Absent such a plan, how could a wife be so courageous, a single mother so nurturing, a grandmother so loving? How could a sister be so caring, a friend so compassionate, a coworker so capable?.

Grandparenting was passionate, grandchildren’s happiness an obsession. Each child adored, needed, enjoyed, watched, cared for. At Grandma's side children learned to read and sign, and received her gift for making music in piano and song. None have given more love to so many. The Holy Spirit among us, again, perhaps. Those kids know.

After graduating from Binghamton’s North High, Tina served in area eateries before enjoying singular success with Pittsburgh Plate Glass, retiring as Director of Operations at PPG Autoglass in Johnson City, NY. An especially meaningful avocation was preparing service dogs for duty with Freedom Guide Dogs. Those helped by Tina’s angelic dogs might also have suspected his Holy Spirit at work.

Tina was predeceased by her parents Kenneth C. and Marilyn Moss Masters; husband and father of her children, David L. Whitman; grandparents, and many aunts and uncles; and Layla, her beloved dog.

Tina is survived by her partner, Mark Farren; children Jason (Lynette) Whitman, Kenneth (Jeanne) Whitman, Lucas (Teresa) Whitman, David (Michelle) Whitman, Timothy (Annette) Whitman, Paul Fraser, and William (Kaytee) Farren; grandchildren Kyle, Matthew, Thomas, Kenny, Jeremiah, Nathan, Rayna, Cody, David, Rosalie, and Wesley. Also surviving are siblings Noreen (Donald) Judd, Cathy (William) Dundon, Gerald (Elizabeth) Masters, and Brian (Diane) Masters.

Funeral arrangements are by Wm. R. Chase & Son, 737 Chenango St., Binghamton. Calling hours are Tuesday, September 27, 10 AM-12 PM, with service following immediately.
