Dennis E. Goga, Sr.

Dennis E. Goga, Sr., age 77, of Port Crane, New York passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Sunday, January 21, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and John Goga, and Kip Osborne; his son, Dennis E. Goga, Jr.; his brothers, Richard, Duane, and John Goga; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eva and John Pecha. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Mary T. Goga; his daughters, Michele (Gary) Slocum, and Michaelene Christian (Brian Wallace); grandsons, Devin, Jacob, Dennis III, and Caden; granddaughters, Sydney and Julia "Jay"; great-granddaughter, Dani; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dennis proudly served with the US Navy and was a member of the McDonough American Legion Post 1478. He was a draftsman and factory worker at Titchener's, and a campground supervisor for the Girl Scouts. Dennis also worked for the Town of Fenton Highway Department and, along with his son, owned and operated Dennis Goga and Son General Contracting. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and golfing. He loved his wife and dogs, and was always there for his kids. Dennis knew everyone, was a friend to all, and will be missed dearly by those who knew him.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Wm. R. Chase and Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY 13901 from 2-3:30pm, with a time to share memories at 3:30pm. Friends and family are invited to a reception immediately following.
