

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Arlene; his cherished and often spoiled only daughter Dawn Worden, the best son-in-law Kevin Worden, and the highlight of all his days, his only grandson and best pal Joseph Donald Worden. Together they were all able to provide him with wonderful care in his own home until his last day. Also survived by a brother Robert Adams, a sister in-law Patricia Fry and several loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lelia Adams, two sisters Marion Adams and Joyce Hubal and brother Frank Adams.
He was born and raised in White's Crossing, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing baseball. Even pitching for the state championship team. He started his business career as a cashier for the local A&P grocery store where he rang prices of each item from memory. He graduated from Lackawanna Junior College with a degree in business.
Donald proudly served three years, three months and eleven days in the US Army. He often joked about fighting the battle of the Pennsylvania Turnpike each week on his way home and back on Sunday. For a time, he ran the Army PX and caused it to turn a profit. He was quickly re-assigned when he was notified that the government can never make money.
He enjoyed 50 years working in the banking community starting with First City later Chase Bank and then finally retiring for good from Peoples Bank. He made many lifelong friends throughout his career.
He loved to spend time with family at the Hubal Farm in Thompson, PA, hunting, being in the barn and waiting for the cookout to start.
He was a member of the Chenango Bridge Methodist Church and a past member of The Nimmonsburg Rotary Club.
He was well loved, always ready for a meal and truly blessed. He will be sorely missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, 10am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Officiating will be Don's neighbor, Pastor Will Reichel. Burial will be in the Glen Castle Cemetery in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers foundation in his name.
