

Douglas E. Kerr, 93, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents Harry & Doris Kerr, daughter Marty Dibble, wife Eunice Kerr and his cherished friend and companion of 14 years Betty.
He is survived by his sister Bev Mikolasko; nephew Thomas Mikolasko, his wife Vira Mikolasko; great niece Annie Mikolasko; son-in-law Bob Dibble and many friends and co-workers from the NYS DOT.
Douglas was a proud US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He retired from the NYS DOT after 42 years of service. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Ouaquaga Fire Company for many years. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Windsor, the VFW Post 478 and the American Legion Post 1194.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Kate McNamara, Nick & Jasmine and all the Twin Tier Nurses who cared for Doug and showed so much concern and compassion through this past year, a huge thank you for going above and beyond.
The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 10-11am with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial will be in the Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga, NY in the spring.
