Esther V. Ruffo

Esther V. Ruffo, 87, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband Frank A. Ruffo in 2004; sisters Rose, Tina & Katie and brother Joe. She is survived by her son Vincent J. Ruffo (Susan); grandchildren Edward and Lindsey Ruffo and Tyler Ruffo (Stephanie); great grandchildren Emma and Hudson (her two angels); brother Vincent J. Deraco and several nieces and nephews. Esther was a longtime member and faithful Christian of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and retired from Binghamton General Hospital after 30 years in the Pathology Department. Esther was a loving caring and special woman. A devoted Mother, loving Grandmother, benevolent and dedicated Great Grandmother. She had a passion for watching the Yankees and the Giants. May all of us who were touched by her life continue to admire and be inspired by her greatness, the meekness and the simplicity of her life and to follow her example. A private Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family has designated St. Jude's Children's Hospital for memorial contributions under “Esthers memory”. Arrangements are under the direction of the James V.
