Gail D. Hawkins

Our beloved mother, Gail D. Hawkins, 62, of Binghamton NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 4th, 2022. She was predeceased by her parents Lonnie and Izola Hawkins Sr., and two siblings Elton Hawkins and Ola Ponds. She is survived by her loving children Shatara Hawkins (Marcus Dyes Sr), Shantay (Allen)Sanford, and Celeste Cherry-Gillard (Michael Gillard); her siblings, Norma (Larry)Hughes, her twin brother–Dale (Lorraine)Hawkins, Lonnie(Debbie)Hawkins Jr, Eddie Hawkins, Reggie Hawkins, and Louise (Harvey)Oglesby; her nine grandchildren; Elijah Gillard, Chay-Trèccia Moncrieft-Hawkins, Marcus Marasia and Marcus Dyes Jr, Jalynn Guido,

Jai-Quan, Tayshan, and Saniya Womack-Hawkins, and Terell Sanford. She also had an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gail was well-known and loved throughout her community. She loved to play bingo and never missed a chance to play her lottery tickets. She was also very artistic as well as loved her music and shopping. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to come together in the celebration of her life. Donations would be greatly appreciated.
