Gary S. Whitney

Gary S. Whitney, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia A. Whitney and father, Gary Whitney. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jody; son, Dallas; stepdaughter, Tess Koehler; his in laws, Harry & Joyce Aldrich; sister-in-law, Yvonne Gary; his favorite dog, Jaxx; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary was a graduate of Vestal High School Class of 1976. He was employed by Maines Paper and Food Service for 30 years. He was awarded the National Driver Allstar Award and was expected to achieve his 2 million miles of safe driving this year. Gary will be remembered for being a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved playing golf, riding his motorcycle and muscle cars. His greatest joys in the life were time spent with his family, friends and neighbors on his deck listening to music and cooking. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 16, from 5 pm until 7 pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901.
