
Giorgio Sergio DeRitis, 79, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Good Shepherd Village of Endwell. He was predeceased by his parents, Serafino and Amelia DeRitis. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosetta (Palombaro) DeRitis, Binghamton; daughters and sons-in-law, Romina and Raymond Stanton III, Binghamton; Sabrina and Roger Brooks, Binghamton; grandchildren, Raymond IV, Gabriella, Julia, and Maximus Stanton; Alexis and Roger Brooks II; brother, Mario DeRitis; sisters, Aurelia and Linia DeRitis residing in Italy; sisters and brothers-in-law, John and Mary Palombaro, Vestal; Luciana Palombaro, Binghamton; Mario and Leonilda D’Arcangelo, Italy; many nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friend, Tomas Montefusco, Binghamton. Sergio was a master tailor for many years at various places and was a retired employee of the City of Binghamton. He was an active soccer player and fan of AS Roma. He had a passion for photography and videography. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and a former member of the Men’s Abruzzee Social Club.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 8:45 AM at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson and continue at 9:30 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home Monday from 4 – 7 PM.
