Helena F. Burlingame

Helena Burlingame, 77, of Kirkwood, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, March 31, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents Elwyn & Frances Gates and her brother-in-law Carl Kimberly.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 55 years Walter Burlingame; daughter Angela Mozes, daughter Nancy Polkowski & John Powell; son John Burlingame; grandchildren Emily, Alex, Candice & Sam and Dani & Mark; great grandchildren George & Wyatt; sister Mary Kimberly; nephew Robert & Caroline & their child Toby; brother-in-law Jim Burlingame and family; longtime friend Michele and her caretaker Nicole and her three pups Lucy, Brooklyn and Mookie.

After working for 28 years at Tri Cities Communications she went on to enjoy her dream job at Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. She loved her camper and camping at Guestward Ho Family Campground in Deposit, NY. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Duke basketball. Helena loved getting her hair done by Casey. Most of all she enjoyed her cocktails with her grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Guthrie Hospice for there kindness and care.

A Celebration of Helena’s Life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 starting at 1pm at My Uncles Place, 120 E. Service Road, Binghamton NY.
