To John and the rest of Jackie's family, 
So sad to hear of Jackie's passing. I not only had the privilege of living next door to her, but to also be lucky enough to have her care for my mother when Jackie was doing home health care. She was one of the kindest people to ever care for my mother or that I have ever met. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal

Your mom was always so pleasant to me and I appreciated her candidness and support in my own profession. I will always remember her and I am so sorry to hear she has left us. Jackie was a lovely person, first and foremost.  She always had a willing smile.  She was loved by her students and colleagues, alike.  I cannot fathom the depth of grief, felt by those who loved her most. My deepest sympathies to her husband, John, and her children.  The loss of someone so devoted must, surely, be devatating.  May the memories of the happy times help you all to get through this dificult time.

I had pleasure of being one of Jackie's colleagues at SUNY Broome.  When I was first hired, she went out of her way to explain things to me and help me in any way that should could, even though she was not obligated to do so at all. She truly cared about other people and was a pleasure to work with. She also had a great sense of humor and made all of us smile on many occasions.  We have missed her wit and well as her baking at our weekly meetings. . If she didn't bring baked good, she usually brought a dish of candy to our meetings. She was always thinking of others. We appreciated her and will miss her.  Thank you for posting the pictures, It made me happy to see that she got to meet so many of her grandchildren. She was such a nice person. She will not be forgotten.

Angela and family, your mom was one of the most respected and loved faculty at SUNY Broome.  Her knowledge and sense of humor will be missed. I hope the love she had for her family will wrap itself around you and give you comfort at this sad time.
