

Janette Parmelee, age 78 of Binghamton, passed away on Thursday January 16, 2014. She was born to the late Amelia Robinson and Ralph Caswell on August 26, 1935. She will be united with her late husband Joseph Parmelee, her brother Stanley Caswell. Janette was a loving and giving woman. She enjoyed bowling with good friends on a league every week. She also had a love for animals and was a member of The Humane Society in Binghamton. Another passion she had was shopping and couponing with her sister Virgina. Janette is survived by her sisters, Virginia Houston and Sandy Hamby and many nieces and nephews; her husband's daughters, Loretta and Doug Jones, Doreen and Mark Smolinsky, Joanne and Norman Tofte, and Andrea Harris; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a special grandson Tyson Tofte and partner Emily Paglia; many loyal friends, such as Harold and Pat Jones, Ernie and Kay Richards; also a special family, Jason and Ashley Marsh and their two children Gavin and Kallie. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends who will miss her. She has ended her life here but will begin her life in eternity with God Almighty. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00PM on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Wm. R Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.
