Joan M. Lucas, 80 of Binghamton, N.Y. passed away on, Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Joan was born on April 5 1942 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Rodney Lucas. She is survived by her children; daughter, Sandra Welch (Michael); and son, Steven Lucas (Pamela Avery). Joan graduated from Chenango Valley Central School, and worked in nursing and healthcare over 30 years. She was a loving mother, devoted and supportive wife who loved her cats, house plants, and working on her many crafts, but especially loved her cats. She was a longtime member of the Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society.
