John E. Schad, of Conklin, 57, died due to a long illness of Myotonic Dystrophy on December 26, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward Schad Sr. and Iola Dawn; daughter, Heather Schad. He is survived by his wife, Eva of 35 years; daughter, Hope Diamond; siblings, Ed and Tina Schad, Mary and Bruce Jaworski, Benny Schad, Betty and Norm Vest; special friends, Roseanne and Steve, Karry Gorman and caregiver Jodi Fahey; several nieces, nephews and cousins. John was a avid Giants fan, enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes, fishing and bowling. He was proud of all of his girls and will be remembered for being friendly and outgoing. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson NY.
