

She was born on July 26, 1926, in Staten Island, NY, to the Italian immigrant parents Vito and Nuzia Mosco and moved to Endicott, NY where she grew up. After marrying the love, of her life Anthony F. Marascia, on November 12, 1949 they made Chenango Bridge their home and created a beautiful family that began with four children, Joanne, Anthony, Daniel and Jean.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and a friend to so many. She will be greatly missed.
She had a love for cooking, baking and providing childcare for over eighty children.
The family gives thanks for the support given to her throughout the years by family, neighbors, friends and her special care giver, April Hamilton.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband Anthony F. Marascia; parents Vito and Nuzia Mosco; sister; Lucy Lane, brother’s; Joseph Mosco and James Mosca. Along with many beloved in-laws, family members and friends.
She is survived by her children; Joanne Stoner (Tom Kelley), Anthony J. (Deborah), Daniel (Colleen), and Jean (Joseph) Fauver; grandchildren; Matthew (Neelam) Stoner, Mary (Bill) Carson, Beth (Shawn) McBride, Dana (Karrie) Marascia, Nick (Brigitte) Marascia, Daniel Marascia and Molly Shibitov, Emily Marascia, Kelly Klein Brown, Amy (Mike) Ash, Kevin Klein and Jennifer (Ashley) Connors. She also leaves behind twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as her siblings; Mary Vaughn, Anthony (Sherry) Mosco and Patricia Smith; sister-in-law, Patricia Mosca, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi, 1031 Chenango St. Hillcrest, N.Y, October 04, 2021 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions in Josephine’s name to the Danielle House 160 Riverside Dr. Binghamton, NY 13905.
