Mary Alyce Thomson

Mary Alyce Thomson, 59, of Johnson City passed away on Friday morning, June 15, 2012. She was predeceased by her father Robert Thomson. Mary Alyce is survived by her mother Evelyn Thomson, Johnson City, her sister and husband Kandyce and Brooks Getty, Vestal, and her brother and wife Robert and Linda Thomson, Virginia. She is also survived by her nieces, Meredith Getty- DeMart and her husband Joe DeMart, Rochester, and Lindsey Thomson-Kyger and her husband Travis Kyger, Virginia. Mary Alyce is survived by her two nephews, Alexander Getty, Washington, DC, and Kevin Thomson, California. She is also survived by her best friend and companion, Bobbi Jo Otis, Owego. Mary Alyce worked at the job she loved as a home health aid at Ideal Senior Living Center until she became ill in 2009. She devoted her life to caring for people in need and was passionate in her love for all animals. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff in the Star Unit at James G. Johnston Nursing Home on the Hilltop Campus in Johnson City. Funeral Services will be held at the the Wm.R. Chase and Son Funeral Home at 737 Chenango Street, Binghamton at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 17. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 1pm.
