NEVER stop dancing Jingles!  RIP. Youll be missed by many.  Condolences to the family

Those good old days of playing little league baseball (40+ years ago) are such distant memories in the rear view mirror of life except for Jingles. He brought life and excitement to the game. I can remember him like it was yesterday. He touched us all and will be missed. RIP - Mr. Michael.

Our thoughts and prayers for the Rubino family and Barb. We knew Jingles since the 1960's when we worked at GAF and John played on the industrial league baseball and basketball teams. Jingles always had a handshake and a kind word whenever we saw him. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael at Anitec years ago, he was a kind and good man, he treat us young guys really well and we all loved him. His voice would carry all over the plant and you KNEW where he was!!! He was truly Jing the Kind, as he told us he was. I hope the kids remember him at the Stadium and that his legacy stays forever.

Jingles umpired a lot of my High School softball games.  He respected me as a pitcher, and I appreciated that!  You didn't mess with him! I only knew him as Jingles, he umpired most my baseball games when i was younger. i loved having him as my umpire. he was a good man and funny. ive also seen him at b mets games and always was smiling. he will be missed and loved. my heart goes out to his family.....

My whole family knew Jingles but my Sister, Esther,and I knew Jingles from karoake for many years.  He was a gentleman and we enjoyed his many "adlibs" every Friday and Saturday nights.  Rest in Peace Jingles!

"I Know the game!!!" That he did. In more ways than one. Thank you very much Jingles. Your support in HS athletics and your great sports conversations as I grew up will be cherished. Mornings at the Hillcrest Xtra Mart will not ever be the same. So many times I would be pulled aside by him, as an athlete or coach so he could give me advice or to tell me to tell the coach this or that. The first time I can remember is the only time I ever saw Our wonderful coach from CV, Bob Zanot  get upset.  We were leaving the field at halftime and Jingles pulled me out of our line as we headed in for halftime adjustments and offered up his opinion. Of course I never told coach Z what he said, he was right on though. Thankfully our coaches had seen the same thing and made the adjustment so I did not have to hear about it again the next day at church.  Jingles assumed I let the coaches know what was up. From there we had a very special bond any and every time I saw him.  He loved sports. He loved all aspects of it. No grudges held if you had a different opinion , he loved the conversation of it. Arguments on strategy or just how a team may be doing may be all around us now with social media and technology but Jingles did it the right way. He did not hide behind a fake user name to let the coaches or teams know his distaste for what may have just occurred. He owned it each and every single time. Right or wrong , mostly right of course, he put his name on it and defended his opinion. Conversations like that I will cherish forever.  Face to face talking about sports. Little League to pro ball the conversation centered around the sport. No matter the players ability on the game field. Never personal , it was his opinion on how you were handling the moment no matter the score or outcome. 

I am away for business this week and feel awful I will miss the celebration of his life.  I will miss him for many seasons to come. RIP Mr. Rubino.

I remember Jingles umpiring behind the plate at my little league games. RIP you very sweet man.

Michael (Jiggles) Rubino you touched kids of all ages with your joy, happy smile, and dancing gait.

You gave meaning to life, the game, and the community. 

I can't imagine anymore that does not have a fun story about Jiggles and how he touched their lives in someway. 

He always had something good to say about everybody and never held a grudge. 

He showed by his faith that God is alive and he loved all as God would love them.

   You were the best! Surely one of a kind. I forgive you for blowing all of those calls in my son's little league games. You were the best bmet fan there ever was, and I will surely miss our little chats during the games.  Rest in peace, my friend, and remember to show them how to dance in heaven.

I will miss Jingles very much. Jingles always had a positive out look on life and always stuck up for the underdog.  Jingles loved his Karaoke Family as well. If he liked you and your song he would say so and if he didn't like your song he would say so.

The mets amd will never be the same without him. Buddy and Ballwinkie were the mascots of the team but Jingles was the heart and soul of the team.
