Also predeceased by his best friend and brother, Peter Putano. He is survived by his three daughters, Suzanne and Charlie Walker, Janice Ranucci, Sharon and Brian Stiner, and son, Eddie and Cathy Ranucci. He is also survived by grandchildren, Carrie, Keith, Ryan, Erin, Joel, Dana, Christine, Mari, Mike, Matt, Mark, Nick, Deana and Alex, thirty great grandchildren and eleven great, great grandchildren.
Our dad loved and lived well. He devoted his life to his family. He was an uncomplicated man who taught our family to love God and each other. He was a man of great faith. He believed in the power of prayer, and taught us to pray at a young age. He had a wicked sense of humor that we understand he inherited from his mother. Those who knew him were often the recipient of his practical jokes. Our dad’s spirit will go forward for generations to come. His legacy of faith and family lives on. Dad, you fought the good fight, you finished the race, and you have kept the faith, Job well done. The family would like to thank Sister Lucia and Rose O’Neil for their compassion and kindness and for ensuring that our dad was able to receive communion and fellowship during his final years. Special Thanks to family members Erin, Ryan, Randi, Danielle, Katie, Chrissy, Mari, and Jenna for their devotion to providing wonderful care for their grandfather. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank You also to Dr. Kristen Robillard for her compassion and understanding. A funeral mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi at 10am on Saturday February 11th with a private burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Our family was blessed to be able to care for our dad at home where he was most comfortable. Contributions in the name of Paul Ranucci can be made to Mercy House, 212 North McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY. 13750, to provide help for those who cannot care for their loved ones at home.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.DeMarcoandSonFuneralHome.com for the Ranucci family.
