

Robert Bock, 85, passed away November 4, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents James and Anna Bock and his brother James Willard Bock. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carolyn Bailey Bock and his son David Bock; he is also survived by Carolyn's siblings Donald & Doris, Roger & Fran, Carlton & Roberta, Lynn & Joyce and Mary & George; a special niece Jayden and nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Bob was a WWII Navy Veteran having served on the Battleship USS California in the Pacific at Okinawa Island and with TASK Force 95 on escort patrol and mine sweeping operations between the Chinese Mainland Okinawa and Formosa (Taiwan). He belonged to the American Legion Post #1194 Hillcrest and the VFW Post #2332 Johnson City, also the Sampson WWII Veterans.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012, 2pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson with Pastor James Collins officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 12Noon until the time of service.
