

Ann Marie White, of Ridge, NY, passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on February 25, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, Ann was a beloved sister, aunt, friend, and caregiver who touched countless lives with her warmth, dedication, and zest for life.
Ann was the cherished sister of the late James P. White Jr. and a loving aunt to Chrissy Preuss (Jay). She was adored by her great-niece and nephew, Alexis Jett (Eric) and Austin Crow (Tayler Alexander), and treasured as a great-great aunt to Karlee Crow, Olivia Jett, Kelsey Crow, and Birdie Jett. Ann’s kindness and generosity extended to her dear friends Sara Santangelo and Marion Cavonis, who were like family to her.
With a lifelong commitment to nursing, Ann served as the Assistant Director of Nursing at St. Charles Hospital for many years before transitioning to a role at the outpatient clinic at the New York State Kings Park Psychiatric Center. Her dedication to her profession reflected her compassionate spirit and her unwavering desire to help others.
Outside of her career, Ann lived a vibrant and fulfilling life. She found joy in painting and wood carving, spent cherished moments golfing, and embarked on adventures to Montauk and destinations across Long Island and beyond. She enjoyed train travel, sightseeing, and lively gatherings at the Elks Club in Port Jefferson. Among her greatest pleasures were the simple ones: sharing an ice-cold beer with friends and embracing the laughter and camaraderie of those she loved.
Ann’s love and devotion extended to her family, especially in the care she provided for her mother, exemplifying her selflessness and generous heart.
A memorial mass to honor Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, 134 Middle Country Road, Coram, NY 11727. Interment of ashes will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 Route 112, Coram, NY 11727.
Ann will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
