Elizabeth "Betty" LoRé

Elizabeth "Betty" LoRé, of Centereach, NY, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on September 17, 1947, in Port Chester, NY, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend.

She was the beloved wife of Vincent LoRé, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they enjoyed countless adventures, particularly their favorite pastimes—cruising and gambling. Whether it was Jakes 58, Atlantic City, or any casino they encountered on their travels, Betty and Vinnie loved the thrill of gambling, traveling, and the joy of each other's company.

Betty was the loving mother of Lisa Teetz (Robert) and Michelle Cavell (Jarett), and the cherished grandmother of Zachary Teetz, Nicole Teetz, and Victoria Cavell. She was the adored sister of Carolyn Bambace (the late Louis) and was deeply devoted to her family, always treasuring the time spent with them.

A dedicated educator, Betty began teaching at Suffolk Community College in 1984 and continued to do so until she fell ill. Teaching was a passion for Betty and she loved every moment she spent inspiring her students.

Known for her meticulous nature, Betty was a self-proclaimed "clean freak," always ensuring everything was in its rightful place. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Gerard Majella, 300 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.

Betty's memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and her legacy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will never be forgotten.
