Erin S. Marshak-Cleary

Beloved wife of nearly 40 years to Ronald Cleary, Erin was a devoted and loving mother to Austin and Katherine Cleary. She was a cherished sister to Norris Marshak (Donna), Bruce Marshak (Helen), and Perry Marshak. Affectionately known as “Auntie Treats” by her great-nieces, Erin’s warmth and kindness extended far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many loving relatives and friends.

Erin adored spending time with her family, treasuring the moments she shared shopping with Katherine—especially sneaking in packages unnoticed. She had a passion for walking, gardening, and visiting the zoo. Christmas was a particularly special time for Erin, as she and Ron, along with Austin and Katherine, upheld the tradition of cutting down their own fresh Christmas tree and celebrating with family, including her aunt and uncle from Florida.

Her love for animals was evident throughout her life. She once led the puppy program for the Guide Dog Foundation, helping to shape future service dogs. Later, she continued her compassionate work as a receptionist at Best Friends Veterinary Care.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:15 AM at Seaview Cemetery, 233 North Country Road, Mount Sinai, NY 11766.

Erin’s warmth, kindness, and love for family, friends and animals will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
