Celia "Margie" Sanchez Cuellar

Celia (Margie) Sanchez Cuellar, beloved servant of God, 87, of Port Lavaca passed away February 16, 2023. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. She served as a Deacon, president of Women’s Ministry Dept. and helped spread the good news in many areas. She was a loving mother, sister, & daughter who was actively involved not only as disciple of Christ, but a loving mother to her children. She will be missed most by her big smile at every interaction. Any problems could be forgotten by a simple conversation with her due to the love and peace she exhibited. She was born March 26, 1935 in Victoria Texas to the late Luis and Celia Guillen Sanchez.

She is survived by her children, Raymond Cuellar Jr. (Carmen Cuellar), Linda Pena (Jimmy Ramirez), Gilbert Cuellar (Rosalba Cuellar), Silvia Cuellar (Robert Granados), Virginia Cruz (Raymundo Cruz), Jesse Cuellar (Minerva Cuellar); sister, Mary Delores Alonzo; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren and sixteen great- great-grandchildren, as well as numerous step great-grandchildren and extended family, all of whom will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymundo Cuellar; parents; children, Delia Cuellar and Ricardo “Ricky” Cuellar; sister, Janie Garcia; and brothers, as well as several great-grandchildren, who will be greeting her in heaven.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 5-6:30 pm, immediately followed by prayer service from 6:30-9 pm, all at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 10-11:15 am at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, followed by Interment at Port Lavaca Cemetery at 12 pm.
