Dora Hill

Dora Hill 75 of Port Lavaca passed away October 6, 2013. She was born February 28, 1938 in Port Lavaca to the late Pete Garcia, SR. and Hortencia Ybarra Garcia. Dora was a member of Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church and was very active in church activities.

Dora is survived by her husband Raymond Hill, Sr.; daughters, Lisa Cumpian, Betty Ruddick and Terri Hill; sons, Raymond Hill, Jr., Robert “Bobby” Hill, Michael Hill and Gilbert Hill; sisters, Vera Robles, Ophelia Castro, Oralia Treat, Esther Adame, Esmeralda Hein and Mary Ann Ramirez; brothers, Herman Garcia and Edward “Hodie” Garcia; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her brothers, Pete Garcia, Jr. and Arturo Garcia.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday with a Rosary to begin at 7 pm at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday at Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hill, Eddie Cumpian, III, Lucas Hill, Christian Morales, Tanner Schneider, Jason Hill, Zachary Hill, Tate Ruddick and Matthew Morales.
