Dwayne Keith Collins passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 65. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Collins, of Port Lavaca, Texas, and his beloved wife of 38 years, Ruby Collins, also of Port Lavaca. He leaves behind his daughter, Hannah Collins, of Port Lavaca; his son, Aron Collins (Giselle) of Port Lavaca; his son, Michael Collins (Melissa) of Portland, Oregon; and his son, Tony Collins, of Victoria, Texas. Dwayne was a proud grandfather to four grandsons and one granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Ray Collins, and his brother, Ray Quillen Collins.
Dwayne dedicated over 45 years to his career in the pipeline industry as a heavy equipment operator, specializing as a dozer operator. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his wife, and cherishing moments with close friends.
Dwayne’s family and friends will remember him for his hard work, love of adventure, and dedication to those he cared about. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 from 5PM-8PM at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1PM, with the interment following at Six Mile Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Aron Collins, Julio Rodriquez, Sam Lopez, John “Boogie” Resendez, Rudy Carreon, Jr., Joaquin Fuentes, Joe Caldera and Brandon Caldera. Honorary pallbearers are Elias Collins, Daniel Lopez , Juan Luna, Joe Franco and Rick Escobar.
