Edith Pauline Winters, born May 11, 1930, passed peacefully into eternity on December 5, 2025. She was joyfully greeted in Heaven with open arms by her loving husband, William P. Winters, along with her parents and siblings who went before her.
Edith was the cherished daughter of Arthur and Hattie Hurford. She was deeply loved by many and was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Christ throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved children, daughter Glenda (Benny) Ezzell of Cuero and son Larry (Linda) Winters of Mission Valley. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Yates of Pace, Florida, along with six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Edith found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing games, working crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending time visiting and sharing memories with her loved ones. Her warm, gentle spirit, and love for family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 1-2pm at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2pm. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Venglar, Brian Ezzell, Rick King, Josh Clayton, Cody Clayton, Taylor Lee, Cohen Boucher, Cullen Boucher, Matthew King, Hayden Ezzell, Heston Lovett, Kannon Pitchford, Braden Pitchford, Trey Pitchford and Bob Venglar, Jr.
