

Jackie Ray Hamilton 63, of Six Mile, passed away surrounded by his family, July 17, 2016. Jackie was born in Rockport, TX, June 8, 1953 to the late Tommy and Billie Hamilton. Jackie was a 1971 graduate of Calhoun High School. Jackie worked as a plumber for several different companies before starting his own business, Gem Plumbing, which he owned for 11 years. After he retired he worked for CCISD as a bus driver and loved his bus kids dearly.
Jackie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Claudia Hamilton; sons, Kyle Ray Hamilton and wife, Stefanie of Port Lavaca, James Barton Hamilton and wife, Marlene of Arlington; daughter, Jennifer Watson and husband, Marty of Edmond, OK; sister, Ruby King; brothers, Jerry Hamilton of Aransas Pass, Troy Hamilton of Point Comfort, Roger Hamilton of Liberty County; and his grandchildren, Dakota Hamilton, Jacqui Hamilton, Daegin Hamilton, Jaida Watson, Berkley Watson and Nayeli Hamilton.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Strown; brother, Tommy Hamilton and grandson, Jaidon Watson.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church in Seadrift, TX with Pastor Marcos Gohlke officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM at Six Mile Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Strown, Troy Hamilton, Tommy Hamilton, Travis Hamilton, Josh Goodrich, David Butcher and Vincent Kacir.
Memorial donations may be made to Cook’s Children Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
