

John Ray Hall, 67 of Port Lavaca passed away March 29, 2012. He was born June 24, 1944 in El Campo, Texas to the late John and Shirley LeCompte Hall and was later adopted by his grandparents, Richard Sr. and Anna Mae Hall. Mr. Hall met his future wife when they were 8 and 12 years old throwing rocks and pecans at each other. He served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at a licensed plumber for many years and loved coin collections, guns and Hershey kisses.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 48 years, Muriel Morrison Hall; daughter, Linda B Hall Darilek and husband Thomas J; sons, John C Hall and wife Lynn, Wesley O. Hall and wife Carlene and James A Hall and wife Jenny; sisters, Linda and Nancy; 16 grandchildren, Kelcie, Allen, Jacob, Amy, Thomas Jr., Lauren, Emily, Kamryn, Madison, Jami, Shawn, Hannah, Lacey, Kacey, Samantha and Cheyenne; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 dogs, Missy, Shadow and Buster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; brothers, David C Hall, James P Hall, Richard Allen Hall Jr. and his sister, Jane Lee Helen Hall.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday April 1, 2012 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with Allen Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Darilek, Shawn Faidley, Jacob Hall, Roland Cantu, Dusty Lemke, Jack Glover and Orlando Saucedo.
