Marcella Wall (nee: Doron) passed on to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep at Citizen’s Hospital in Victoria, Texas on February 26, 2022. She was born on September 8, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Alfred and Esther (Hickes) Doron. She spent her childhood first in Pennsylvania and then in Florida, attending St. Mary Catholic School and Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach. She then went on to study at Texarkana College.
She worked for most of her life as an over-the-road cross country truck driver and, with the spirit of determination she was known for, she entered the field when nearly no other women were driving. She visited almost every state in the country through her travels. It was in this pursuit of her love for the open road that she met her co-driver in life, Douglas (“Benny”) Wall, who was her husband and best friend, and later, her rock and caregiver assisting with her various medical challenges. She loved Pomerians and always had one in the truck with Benny while traveling together as a husband-wife trucking team. In her downtime, Marcella loved crocheting, gardening, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was also very active on social media in her efforts to raise awareness and support for those less fortunate, as well as many dog rescue organizations.
She is survived by her husband Benny of Port O’Connor, Texas, as well as her children, son Jessie Doron and his wife Amy of Grass Valley, CA; son Joe Noah and his wife Fiona of Milton, FL; son Jeffrey Crisp and his wife Tammy of North Little Rock, AR; daughter Samantha Greeson and her husband Allen of Grand Rapids, MI; and daughter Esther Weeks and her husband Ethan of Lockport, NY.
