Pearl Stapleton

Pearl Stapleton, 87, of Seadrift, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Victoria. Pearl was born in Port Lavaca to the late Samuel and Gladys Cook Scivally on October 22, 1935. Pearl worked many years in the Grocery Store Industry and was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her parents, Samuel and Gladys Scivally, Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Louis Stapleton, her sisters; Grace West and her husband Clyde, and Ann Smith and her husband Dewey, and brother; Samuel Edward Scivally, Jr. and his wife Adele.

Pearl is survived by her daughter; Kristi Taylor and her husband Teryl, and son; Kent Stapleton, grandchildren; Kody Taylor and his wife Macey, Kory Taylor, and Kassidy Taylor, and great-grandchild; Tate Taylor, whom was the “apple of her eye”. She also leaves behind numerous extended family, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 1-2 pm, followed by Funeral Service at 2 pm, all at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Seadrift Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kody Taylor, Kory Taylor, Teryl Taylor, Marty Gonzalez, Ronnie Gonzalez, David Scivally, and Danny Tacy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kassidy Taylor, Tate Taylor, Kent Stapleton, Ronnie McCown, Dennis Zimmerman, Jon New, and Guy Vollentine Jr.
