Wanda Ruth Nichols, 89, of Port Lavaca passed away July 14, 2022. She was born February 11, 1933 in Sanger, TX to Clem and Jewel Sullivan. She was a retired teacher with Calhoun County ISD and member of First Baptist Church in Port Lavaca. She enjoyed spending time painting and visiting with friends and family, and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
She is survived by her daughter, Dara Tyler (Jim) of El Campo; sons, Kevin Nichols (Georgia) of Helotes; sister, Mary Jackson; brother-in-law, Roland Tyler; grandchildren, Henry and Samuel Nichols, and Chris Taylor (Candace); and great-grandchildren, Trenton, Trevor, Treston, Traeson, and Blakelee Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Nichols; parents; son, William Charles “Chuck” Nichols; daughter, Susan Annette Nichols; sister, Alice Tyler; brother, Elmo Sullivan; and grandson, Dakota Taylor
Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, Pastor Michael Whittle officiating.
