

William Alvie “Buster” Riley, Jr., 69 of Port Lavaca passed away February 28, 2014. He was born February 22, 1945 in Kermit to the late William Alvie and Marion Bingham Riley. Mr. Riley was a member of Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from ALCOA after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Peters Riley; daughters, Kimberly Ann Riley Ferguson and Susanne Riley Laws; 7 grandchildren, Carlie Stith, Kristina Windham, Nicholas Windham, James Ezzell, Amanda Ezzell, Riley Laws and Frances Laws, and one great-grandchild, Scarlett Stith.
In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Riley Ezzell; sister, Charlene Blake and brother, Tony Gayle Riley.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm with a Rosary to begin at 7 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with Father Tommy Chen officiating. Burial with Military honors under the direction of the Calhoun County Joint Military Honor Guard will follow at the Six Mile Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic School or Hospice of South Texas.
