Willie Arell Phillips 74 of Port Lavaca passed away March 13, 2013. She was born September 30, 1938 in Refugio, Texas to Willett G. and Corrine Reed Dierlam. A lifelong resident of Port Lavaca, Willie worked for Sterling Drug and her and her husband owned Village Grocery in Point Comfort. She was a member of the Port Lavaca Church of Christ.
Willie was preceded in death by her father, Willett G. Dierlam and her sister, Janet Eakins.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Albert Phillips, Jr. of Port Lavaca; son, Bruce A. Phillips of Port Lavaca; mother, Corrine Reed Dierlam of Port Lavaca; sisters, Barbara McKay of Olivia and Linda Evans of Port Lavaca; brothers, W.G. “Buddy” Dierlam, Jr. of Port Lavaca and Sam Dierlam of Flour Bluff; grandsons, Brett A. Phillips and Cory A. Phillips.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with Mr. Shan Jackson officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brett A. Phillips, Cory A. Phillips, Larry Robison, David Zwerschke and Eric Evans.
