W.J. "Jimmy" Nunez

W.J. “Jimmy” Nunez, 76, of Seadrift passed away April 10, 2024. He was born January 10, 1948 in Kaplan, LA to Whitney Paul and Sarah LaMare Nunez. Jimmy worked for King Fisher Marine as a towboat captain for 45 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Seadrift and enjoyed spending time fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Nunez; daughters, Sherri Pompa (Timmy) and Amber Allen (Eric); 3 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; and granddaughter, Brandi Pompa.

Honorary Pallbearers are Timmy Pompa, TJ Pompa, Chris Chatham, Tommy Bang, and Joey Nunez.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10 AM at The First Baptist Church in Seadrift, TX. Inurnment will follow in the Seadrift Cemetery.
